Cogent Legal is proud to be hosting a weekly webcast on YouTube entitled “Litigating Despite COVID-19” for the Litigation Section of the California Lawyers Association. Through this webcast, the Litigation Section plans to bring you relevant and up-to-date information on the ongoing pandemic and its effects on the legal community, We are streaming the webcast via YouTube on Thursdays at 1:30 PDT on the Cogent Legal Youtube Channel. Mike Kelleher, an attorney graphics consultant with Cogent Legal and an advisor to the Litigation Section Executive Committee, produced and hosted the meeting on April 23[web address] which featured:

George Wailes, Chair of the Litigation Section Executive Committee, gave an update on current COVID-19 procedures and plans at the San Francisco Superior Court;

Michelle Galloway, a member of the Litigation Section Executive Committee, discussed remote hearing guidance from courts dealing with these new issues;

Adrieannette Ciccone, another member of the Litigation Section Executive Committee, discussed changes to the Emergency Rules Related to COVID-19 for Rule Nos. 8 (protective & restraining orders), 12 (service) and 13 (support order modification.) The text of these orders can be found here.
