Storyboards provide another compelling format to convey information to a jury or mediator. A “storyboard” is basically a series of images that show how an incident occurred, what factors led to failure, or what should have been done on a project. They are separate still images that relate to one another to tell a story and show a sequence of events, and they can be shown electronically or printed and enlarged for a display board. For mediations, they’re easy to print and attach to a brief.

While a well-done animation can impart the same information, animations can be more costly and require re-rendering anytime a change is needed on a section of the animation. Storyboards are easier to modify and can be developed with to-scale illustrations of equipment, people, structures and materials for proper foundation as necessary.
