Earlier this month I chatted to Morgan C. Smith, a former trial attorney who now runs Cogent Legal, a litigation graphics and trial strategy firm in the USA. Morgan wanted to do something a bit different following an extensive career in litigation. Realising that he enjoyed the presentation aspect of being attorney more than anything else, he decided to help other lawyers who struggle to present their case in a way that is interesting and appealing, whether that be to judges, jurors, CEOs or whoever else. We talked about many things including his move away from litigation to having his own company, how important presentation is for any kind of lawyer, how technology has changed the legal world and we even managed to talk about some of Morgan’s favourite apps as well. - by William Barns-Graham
